Carnaval de Barranquill

2021

Carnaval de Barranquilla is one of Colombia's most important cultural celebrations. This pre-Lenten festival brings together African, Indigenous, and Spanish traditions through four days of music, dance, and elaborate costumes, making it the second-largest carnival in Latin America after Rio.

For my native country, it represents a powerful expression of Colombian identity and cultural pride. I designed an event poster, billboard, and event pass that capture the carnival's joyful, vibrant energy through digitized linoleum illustrations, honoring both the festival's artistic spirit and my own printmaking practice.
